Our first fatalistic OOP Steelers post of the season. Now things officially feel normal again (for now).

Well, Tennessee's in the market for a kicker.

Thought they did a great job. Think I like them bette than the main crew on the late game.

Jackson's passing is pretty good. His 2019 league-wide rankings:
    1st in QBR
    3rd in passer rating
1st in TD rate -- 9% of his throws were for TDs
    8th in completion %
    10th lowest INT rate
4th in adjusted yards per attempt

I think most NFL teams would take those numbers.

At this rate, someone will have to toss him his change of clothes in the tunnel.

He's going to make a 64-yarder at altitude at the gun to win it.

    He's still fired.

What mismanagement by both coaches on the last drive (the Gostkowski FG).

Fangio keeps all of his timeouts.

Vrabel doesn’t run on 3rd/1 against a gassed defense.

Broncos +3. As long as Drewby doesn’t throw a pick six.

I thought that was a fair evaluation of the night. The Steelers beat a bad team, which was particularly big for me given that I live in New York and every member of my wife's family who cares about football is a Giants fan. They did a lot well. They have some things to clean up on defense, but they were dominant against the run and good enough against the pass. Terrell Edmunds still sucks, but that was a given. Bud Dupree played like a man working for a big contract, which he is. Snell looked quicker and just as powerful after losing some weight in the offseason. Roethlisberger took a while to get going but looked like his old self as the game went on. The offensive line is a big concern. They weren't great in pass protection before the injuries and it is looking like they are going to have a rookie guard and a shaky tackle on the right side next week against the Broncos.

Current stats do not tell how well he will do when he slows down.

What explanation is there for the team on D not to use their TOs? It seems so basic. It’s not like you’re giving the other team more time to do something they would not otherwise do. Nor are you bailing them out of a delay of game penalty.

Anyone know answer? IIRC Coach hoodie uses his TOs all the time in this situation.
