    Trooper,

    I went through the vascular dementia thing with my mom, who passed in April, and I had much the same reaction to her decline as you did to your grandmother’s decline even though I got to see Mom close up. It just goes so fast.

    I’m glad you got a chance to say goodbye, as well.

    My condolences on your loss.
