But when college footbawwwl shuts down, it'll be the fault of the libruhl media for making statements of doom.
    Sure.

I imagine a good number of them will buy -- or already own -- guns.

Nah. There will be specific targets. There will be many thousands of people with seriously damaged lives and little -- or nothing-- to lose.

That's the kind of thing that can keep people focused for decades.

Not to gloat -- really -- but I said this in April. And it depresses the F out of me. From the college to the high school ranks.

Yep, until last fall, I hadn't been to a game as a fan for probably 30 years. There's definitely a group of folks who live and die worrying about what a bunch of 18 year old kids do with a pig bladder (whether they themselves ever stepped foot in a college classroom there or not) who are going to need therapy.

The Big Ten is like that asshole friend who, when everyone else is ready and fired up to go out to a club, takes an extra hour to get ready, then says he's not feeling well and tries to talk the group into staying home and watching a movie. And you can't just ditch them and go anyway because they have the only car everyone can fit in and they won't let anyone else drive it.
I fucking hate the Big Ten.

This was happening regardless, Fat 10 or not.

One of the Power 5 was gonna be first, and while it's no surprise it was the Big Ten, it also doesn't mean much. Frankly, I'll bet the SEC is glad to have the cover.

Just like the Big Ten was glad to have cover from the MAC
