Exactly. No complacency is acceptable. I worry that choosing someone like Whitmer would be another sign that Biden is taking the African American vote for granted and that could be a big mistake, similar to the type of error that hurt the Clinton campaign so much four years ago.

Biden already made a mistake by publicly committing to choosing a woman. To be clear, I think it is a great idea for him to actually choose a woman, but announcing that before announcing the actual candidate was the error. I didn't just come up with this theory on my own. I've heard it elsewhere and I agree. What he should have done is publicly commit to choosing the best person for the job, then make a woman his choice for VP. Making the commitment first makes it easier for the Trump campaign to attack whoever he chooses.

You'd think as well-paid as she is, Junior's whore could afford two dresses.

I'd pay a large sum of money to see Trump try to ride a bicycle.

In mild defence of Tim Kane, he wasn't a bad pick. From the key state of Virginia, and had had a solid career of as a senator.

To watch him wobble back and forth on abortion - exactly as I do, as a Catholic - was painful. Aside from that, I don't remember any spectacular gaffes?

If you're not the energy candidate on the ticket, your VP very well better be. Kaine wasn't that.
