It's bad public speak for sure, but it sounds like it could be word for word what staff and pollsters are saying in the war rooms. It's what you hear in political analysis all the time: How is a candidate doing among Blacks, Latinos, White women, etc. He easily could have been repeating a conversation that was taking place earlier in a strategy session. You just can't go out in front of a camera -- if you're the candidate -- and say it that way.

But if you lump it in with everything terrible Trump has said over the last four years, it ranks well down the list and will (or should be) forgotten already. Geez, if we can forget about Russian bounties on U.S. soldiers, we can forget this. Or can we?

Very well-thought out, heartfelt response. Which will get ignored.

He would have done better if he’d say, “Hey Fuckhead, unlike you, I’ve been to church more than once in this century and I didn’t need to gas anyone to get there.”

That’s it. Pick a fight with kids whose parents will be sick of hearing about it by November 3rd.

It's a run-up to his executive orders to shut down Facebook, Twitter and YouTube (and many other sites) in September-October because of allowing "disrespectful" speech toward public figures.

DeWine now says a second COVID-19 test came back negative.

That is plausible. What is more likely is that he didn’t want to be seen within a mile of Trump and that offered a convenient excuse.

Collaborators, all of them. In November we'll drag them into the streets, shave their heads, and make them bury the remains of the Republican party.
