    I was in Garden City SC for the week. My impression is that they are not ending this any time soon down there. Food stores require it but there is no enforcement. Also in our building we stopped on many floors and people did not have on masks. many came from the pool or beach but so had I, we did not let them on with us. It got easier and easier to say no. Lots of plates from lots of states.

    It's a long read, but very well researched and presented. At first, I thought Ed Yong was going a bit easy on Trump as he went over the systematic reasons why America was vulnerable to something like COVID-19.

    Then, in the final portion of his article, he dropped the hammer:

    To summarize: "Trump is a comorbidity of the COVID‑19 pandemic. He isn’t solely responsible for America’s fiasco, but he is central to it."
