Looks like Mike Soroka just ruptured his Achilles.

Considering his first two starts, this would be a good thing. (Him not pitching that is, not the injury.)

All the teams are either east of the Mississippi or barely west of it (STL). Also, the affected teams are predominately NL. Only three interleague series and no AL series.

How are rosters going to work? Below are the 2020 rules, but by the 15th day, which is Thursday, some teams will have only played 5 or 6 games. Do they have to cut? If they don’t, their opponent will need an equal roster.
    • By noon of Opening Day, every team has to submit its active roster with a maximum of 30 players and a minimum of 25 players.
    • The maximum roster limit will be reduced from 30 to 28 at noon on the 15th day of the season.
    • The maximum roster limit will be reduced from 28 to 26 at noon on the 29th day of the season and remain at 26 for the rest of the regular season and playoffs

That was awful. Knew it as soon as they showed the replay. The ripple up the calf is pretty unmistakable.

Fun young pitcher. Hopefully a full recovery.
