Why is "Cats: The Butthole Version" being released considered a bad thing?

I’m not sure, but it must be some sign of the apocalypse.

To me, the various "phases" of reopening things are confusing. Make it easy. When is it no longer acceptable for me to enter businesses in gym shorts and slippers? When does my "corona-beard" stop being interesting?

On the plus side today - I got carded - turns out I just have to wear a facemask to look (potentially) underage.

I got carded today too because of the face mask -- though not for alcohol.

The non-butthole version of "Cats" was released in December 2019 and the world went to shit soon after. Do we really want to take our chances with a butthole-imbued "Cats"?

“A phenomenon that a number of people have noted while in deep depression is the sense of being accompanied by a second self — a wraithlike observer who, not sharing the dementia of his double, is able to watch with dispassionate curiosity as his companion struggles against the oncoming disaster, or decides to embrace it. There is a theatrical quality about all this, and during the next several days, as I went about stolidly preparing for extinction, I couldn't shake off a sense of melodrama — a melodrama in which I, the victim-to-be of self-murder, was both the solitary actor and lone member of the audience.” — William Styron, “Darkness Visible: A Memoir of Madness”

A dark time we are living and experiencing, when everyone and everything seems surreal, making it all the harder to see when people are truly struggling. Not everyone is acting out by tossing bricks; maybe they’re acting in.
