Probably not. NYPD hasn't had an officer killed in the line of duty since September.

Also, officers "May wear black elastic mourning band, 1⁄2 inch wide, on the shield, covering the seal of the city, but leaving the shield number or rank designation visible, upon the death of a member."

And we have this one from Salt Lake City. The twist is that the victim is an old white guy who appears to pose very little threat.
Second most surprising recent fact I learned about SLC: Its population is 200,000.

NBC’s Ali Velshi got hit in the knee with a rubber bullet and also sniffed tear gas as MSP started firing on the peaceful crowd without warning

Trump take credit for something someone else did? Unpossible.

Former co-worker of mine was a one-time cop turned TV reporter. She was on-air reporting live from a riot and it went something like this:

Reporter: The crowd has gathered on Congress and police are working to push them back, and AH!
    Anchor: Donna, are you OK?
Reporter: Yes, sorry, just got shot in the leg. Anyway, police are working to move the crowd...

She got hit with a wooden bullet fired by police. The welt the next day was impressive as hell.

I’m watching the WCCO live feed from Minneapolis. A WCCO photographer was arrested.
