This is bad, but there has been much worse. My father had ER duty at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark during the riots. Snipers were shooting out the ER windows. The National Guard in armored vehicles cordoned off the Central Ward, no one got in or out. Twenty-six dead. The city never recovered.
