Mine lapsed - it didn't help that they didn't extend subscriptions when they cut back to monthly (figure a "per issue" subscription would have extended mine through October at least) My efforts to remedy this and point this out to their customer service people were fruitless.

Anyone want to count the mistakes in this Biff Pocoroba obit?

That's just raw copy, right down to the "Condolensences to the Pocoroba family."

Also, general manager John Mullen (in 1991) and coaches Tommie Aaron (1984) and Rube Walker (1992) have also died from the 1982 Braves, which is one of the most favorite teams in Atlanta’s 54-year history.

I didn't know the 1982 Braves were a disease or a cause of death. Many of their predecessors were, of course, but that bunch could play.
"Most favorite" is another terrific turn of phrase.

Back in the day, a typo or grammar gaffe in SI was a very rare find. And now it's come to this.

FWIW this is not the "true" SI but one of the Maven team page offshoots. Even on a good day I wouldn't categorize these sites with the actual SI.

Hey, lay off Maven; the NYT listed Pocoroba in its Memorial Day death A-1.
