    The COVID-19 death rate will actually be inflated by lack of testing. When a person dies from COVID-19, it should be self-evident how he or she died whether that person was tested or not. That person goes into the COVID dead column without necessarily going into the COVID active column.

    New York changed its calculations to reflect this. Red states likely won't, but three fucking obituary pages when there used to be one page don't lie.
