So was getting nostalgic and thought I'd share my first fun car when I was just out of college:

First new car I ever bought.

V8, multi-port fuel injection, went 0-70 in 2nd gear (5 spd); good thing driving infractions were not as tight as they are today.

I was young and stupid so yeah, I went fire engine red too. (was stopped once for speeding and asked the officer "so if I was driving that brown car that just drove by, would you have stopped me?" and his response was "you knew that when you bought this car."

    Had a blast in it.

This is an '89 Pontiac Grand Am. I got it shortly after college as well. I loved loved loved this car because it was a bigger car -- four doors, as you can see -- but it was a 5-speed. It was just a really fun car to drive.

I only had the V6, but riding around, top down, past the beach every summer was always a good time. I put some Cobra R 5-spoke rims on it to dress it up a bit.

My five cars so far have been a Reliant, a Chevy Prism, and three Toyota Corollas. So... I guess I'll let you know in the future? :) (I did really like my Prism, though - Its top speed wasn't great, but it zipped from 0 to 45 pretty good.)

In 1994, this six-year-old Mustang was my first car. Thought it would help me get chicks. Turned out, the chick I would eventually marry rode in it one time and hated it.

    When I was 16 in 1990, I got a dark red 65 Mustang. 289 3-speed auto with air.
Could never keep power steering fluid in it. Had it for 2 years. Sold it. Bought a 87 Ford Escort GT 2 door 5-speed.
This little bastard was a rocket.

Oh, how I wanted one of those in the late '80s. A hot blonde screwing one of my apartment neighbors had one and was over all the time. I would have rather had the car than the blonde.

Got my 1998 Cobra drop top in 2000, and it's got just more than 120k miles on it.

My first fun car was an '84 Fiero. So low to the ground, it took corners like a fucking champ.

Only fun car I've ever had. Was never the same after I melted a cylinder the night of the O.J. chase. Remanufactured engine always ran hot.
