    You have a point. I was thinking more that ragging went out when intimidation (Big bad Bruins and Broad St Bullies) became more the norm. The NHL is more of an entertainment product, and a damn good one, than a game played by men with second jobs who play for the love of it. I was talking with a friend who played for the Medicine Hat Tigers in the 70s and he said if you ragged the puck in the WHL you’d be missing teeth by the end of the game. The speed and skill level in today’s NHL is incredible.
