Who has ever argued this? I’m sure even Tebow knows this.

A certain fan of a team in the Bronx was convinced that Tebow was a prospect despite all evidence contrary.

“To the fans and everybody in Mets Nation, I’m sorry, extremely sorry. We were hoping for an undefeated spring. That was my goal, something the Mets never done here.

“But I promise you one thing, a lot of good will come out of this.

“You will never see any player in the entire country...etc. etc.

    “God bless.”

C'mon, who among us hasn't fallen on our face to blow a spring training game...?

Is this from this year's Mets fantasy camp?

    Well, they still won.

Unlike my softball team 25 odd years ago. Two outs in the seventh, we’re up by one, they’ve got a guy on first. Easy pop up to RF, our normally reliable guy steps in a divot just as the back is about to land in his mitt. He falls, ball bounces away, runner and batter both score to walk us off.

    Pretty sure he still remembers.

Tebow will have yet another chance to save a Mets farm team after the big club reassigned him to minor league camp. Again.

What is the point of this? Do the Mets need a guy whose upside is a cup of coffee in the majors? End the charade already.

    Ticket sales and clickbait, too.
