A lot of primaries are governed by state law. Since half of all voters in Mass. are registered "unenrolled" (independent), with only one-third Dems and one-sixth GOP, such a proposal would never fly here. Besides, proposals to increase the voting numbers, such as same day registration, a good idea, make such ideas inoperative.

This is solid, and that closing sentence is just great.

Trump Insists on Paying for Coronavirus Prep by Taking Heating Aid From Poor

"Thus, the most plausible explanation for the White House’s stance is the neurosis of budget director Mick Mulvaney and his ideological kin. In the House, Mulvaney was that rare breed of a “small-government” crusader whose zeal for slashing spending didn’t spare the Pentagon. By most accounts, the man is a supply-side, deficit-hawk true believer. Now, like a guilt-prone cannibal who seeks to mitigate his sense of moral injury by religiously observing “meatless Mondays,” Mulvaney is ostensibly trying to compensate for his complicity in an exploding deficit by holding pandemic prevention hostage to trivial spending cuts."

By gutting intelligence, doesn't that make FATUS vulnerable to assassination plots? Anyone?

Since he only goes to his own properties and rallies at stadiums, arenas, etc. that have longstanding and good security plans for their events, he's probably the easiest gig the Secret Service has ever had. Just make sure they're all up on the Heimlich.

No country who has a problem with America wants harm to come to Trump. If Osama Bin Laden has a choice between 9/11 and President Trump he would have chosen Trump every time.
