A note on polling: CNN's latest poll shows Biden leading Trump 53-44. BUT its poll taken at the same time of 20 "battleground" states shows Biden leading only 49-47. Those 20 states contain roughly 3/8ths of the electorate (166 congressional districts). If both polls are correct, Biden leads by about 56-44 in the other 5/8ths of the country, which contains big blue states, but also Texas and most of the deep South and border states. Common sense tells us both these polls cannot be correct and while might be and one might not be, my money's on both of them being inaccurate.

The horse race aspect of an election is the easiest and most inaccurate way to present the news. The Washington press corps seem to have neither the inclination nor the ability to provide more in-depth coverage that might actually give a voter something to think about.

And that doesn't mean you interview serial liars like Kellyanne Conway or her ilk to get "the other side" so you're fair and balanced. Proven liars should never be given a platform to spew more lies out of their lying fucking mouths.
