My goals for 2020 include checking in here around the time of major events and asking newspaper staffing plans for them as a gauge of the industry.

What is/was your newspaper's bowl staffing plan and how does it compare to the past? Are you only covering bowls in your coverage area and bowls involving teams in your coverage area?

Any feedback from the public about reduced bowl staffing?

I'll try my best to check on my market's metropolitan daily, where I used to be a staff writer, including regularly covering the local bowl.

As a related contest what would be the largest paper not to travel to cover a team in their coverage area. Did the Charlotte Observer or the Buffalo News travel anyone to cover the Bahama bowl between Buffalo and Charlotte?

That sure would have been a nice assignment.
