Lane didn't end well the first time in the SEC.
I know Gus is from the area, but two things here.

1. You can't go from Auburn to Arkansas. You just can't.
2. Arkansas is not going to keep 2 coaches on the hook (Bert-Morris) for substantial money PLUS pay Gus buyout PLUS pay him a shitpot to go to the Ville.

 

The thinking on Gus is Auburn will can him. Plus, after BERT and Morris, there’s a strong “must have Arkansas ties” requirement in many circles.

But I don’t believe any of it. I think the AD might go the same sort of route as he did with Musselman.

Heck, I’d be OK with Barry Jr. keeping the gig. He’s a good guy.

 

If Arkansas plays well these last two games, give Barry the job. He’s a sharp coach.

 

Norvell will get out of Memphis before long.

 

Not before he covers -14 this weekend.

If Mizzou loses to Tenn and Arky, they’re going to be looking for a new coach. I’m on the fire Odom bandwagon.

 

I think if Mizzou loses either, it’s Odom’s ass. Even winning both may not be enough. With this schedule, 9-3 should have been the floor.

 

Then who takes that gig? Is that where Leach winds up?
