    Damn right. I loved those teams, McAdoo, Randy Smith and Ernie D. They were a fun team.

    Hmm.

    I suspect Carmelo is washed... but this is as logical a landing spot as I can think of. Low profile, good vet leadership on the team, and the Blazers have a good lineup that isn't going to be good enough as it currently stands. If they get anything out of him, great.

    True, but if their opponents don’t show up with retirement gifts a la the Bosh retirementpalooza tour, Melo’s just going to get sulkier and sulkier.

    The contract's a nightmare. I think he's stuck there unless they buy him out, which seems unlikely.

    Don’t you just love the irony? That CP helped negotiate a CBA that allowed him to sign a lucrative contract that is so rich it’s keeping him in an NBA wasteland? Not that he’ll ever regret signing it.
