RIP Skip Wood

    Worked with me a while in Richmond, spent some time at USA Today, another of the many excellent journalists who worked with the late Chris Simmons in Harrisonburg, Va.

    Good dude, loved the business. Worked his ass off ALL the time.

    Dang. Skip was one of the many state media folks who was very good to me when I was working for the Virginia Tech student paper. I specifically remember him giving myself and a photographer a ride from the Orange Bowl when we were waiting for a cab. He said that wasn't a part of town we wanted to be just waiting around in. RIP.

    Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I crossed paths with Skip many times when he was in Richmond, and later when he worked for USA Today. RIP.
