On an hourly rate, the women make about twice what the men make.

Roddick should never be spoke. In same group as Murray. For Murray to win 3 majors; and TWO Wimbledons as a Brit no less is amazing. To do it during the peak of Fed/Dkoker/Nadal is even more illuminating. You have no idea how hard it was to go from “that other guy in semis” to actual major champion. The big three have each won more majors than Borg, Connors, McEnroe, Laver, that’s staggering. Yet Murray won 3 during their their peak.

Said it before, Roddick had weakest 2H BH for a hard hitter ever.

What was crazy about that match is that Federer and Djokavic both looked like they could go another set after it was done. Not bad for 32 and 37.

There was a time in the early 1990s where for more than a year not a single tournament --- Grand Slam or otherwise --- was won by someone over the age of 28. Tennis was thought to be the game that had become so physical that you HAD to be young to succeed.

When did they split the mens semis off from the Saturday they played the women's final? Used to be a great day of tennis. Serena is on the ropes.

It ended in 2013. Rain and bad weather kept fucking things up, not allowing all three matches to be finished on that day. Roof didn't come until 2016.

Beyond that, the late match winner on Super Saturday was always at a disadvantage coming back to play final less than 24 hours later.

Women didn't much care for being an afterthought on Saturday instead of having the day to themselves, also.

So it was a welcome change for most people.

Got great odds on the Canadian player. Plus 290 last night.

Serena needs to dump the husband - 0-4 in Slam finals since getting married.
