There is two ways to look at this:
    1. Maybe people are getting tired of "only the finest people" running our country.
    2. It allows him to appoint someone else as "acting" SECDEF who wants to shoot at Iran.

So now we're back to having no SecDef to push back as Bolton tries to slide us into a war with Iran.

Dim as Trump is, I believe he has some awareness that the last Middle East war didn't go well for the President who started it, and therefore, he's not eager to start another. Of course, that's not to say Iran will make rational decisions either. It's weird how the average American cheerfully assumes his own government is basically incompetent, yet assumes all other governments aren't.

Or Tom Cotton, so Sanders can run for his Senate seat?

(Though Tom knows the real money is in the Senate seat, not the Cabinet.)

I seriously doubt Trump will have another nominee go before the Senate for confirmation for the rest of his presidency. He’ll just roll with “acting “ cabinet members the rest of the way.

Something else to put on Congress’s list to fix in 2021.

Conservatives, they hated the imperial presidency until they loved the imperial presidency.
