    If we keep guessing, we'll have the whole team. Piniella was so valuable to that team, but probably underappreciated so he wouldn't get votes. Don't think anyone would vote for Nettles or Dent. Catfish was on the way out. Mickey Rivers?

    Willie Randolph had 119 walks and only 45 Ks that season. Dent, Piniella, Soderholm, Murcer and Gamble also had more walks than Ks; Nettles had a 1-1 ratio. How the game has changed.

    I went to my first MLB game that year at Yankee Stadium. They played the Blue Jays and it was bat day. Captain & Tennille played the national anthem.
