Having been to two Masters, I can say that for those in attendance, the past champions are treated as honored guests. Big applause at every hole. And it should be noted that the Masters has for many years sent letters telling past champions who've struggled not to show up next time. So the Doug Fords going around at over 90 as they reach their 70s and 80s no longer appear.

Off and running. The Bethpage Black rough is as advertised. Maybe not U.S. Open difficult. But appears to be close. Miss a fairway and you're scrambling for par. Love it.

Tyrrell Hatton at -2 through 5.
Saw this earlier and got a chuckle.

This course seems perfect for Koepka.

He's going to take some catching, that's for sure.

Only thing wrong with Koepka's game today is that God awful, Mars Blackmon looking hat.

The hat is terrible. Not a fan of the shoes either.

The game? Hoo boy. Making it look easy today.

Nantz was carrying the bucket for Koepka in the pre-tournament teleconference, saying that he was playing great but no one was talking about him, etc., etc. Sure, but good luck on Sunday afternoon keeping viewers if he's running away with it.

But it's early. Daly and his cart are just getting started!

When Daly got the keys to his cart, hopefully the clubhouse guy reminded him, "No outside alcoholic beverages allowed."
