You are oversimplifying. The report states that Mueller accepted from the beginning the President cannot be indicted. If in the opinion of others, that is Congress, the assembled evidence is sufficient proof of crimes, or even of abuse of power, then it is the body to address those facts through impeachment. You can put him under oath and ask if he thinks Trump committed crimes, and all you'll get is a really tiptop lawyerly evasion. It's simple. The report has scads of evidence Trump committed impeachable offenses, the very offenses for which Nixon and Clinton were impeached (Nixon by Judiciary Committee only). It is a foregone conclusion that the Republican Senate would not convict Trump if Mueller testifies under oath Trump committed treason. It is up to the Democratic majority in the House to determine if upholding their oath of office and commencing impeachment proceedings is a political winner or loser for them. That last sentence is why our Republic is doomed whatever happens to Trump.

    That's why it's a waste of time.

EDIT: Control F + "golden showers" comes up empty. Lame.

From a practical sense this thing was never going to produce impeachment or removal from office. But they had to do it in order to create the record that this president is essentially a criminal.

A credible independent investigation showing that a President committed impeachable offenses is hardly a waste of time. What did you want, a shootout between Trump and Mueller in a darkened Trump National locker room?

You are entitled to your opinion. In other matters, I have seen thoughtful responses from him. In this bit about the face of the Democratic Party, I've seen a narrow-minded view of the Democratic Party and a constant regurgitation of conservative talking points.

The Mueller report shows the journalism was accurate. We knew most of it. We know trump is a criminal.

    And nothing will happen.

    Gotta win in 2020.
