IMO, we'll need Game 4 to figure out anything. Was it one inspired game? Or do the Caps get back to shooting and putting pressure on Mrazek? Then ... is it Raleigh vs. D.C. or has the tide turned and this becomes the matchup the Caps didn't envision?

As for the Whalercanes, while it's doubtful they're as dominant as the second and third periods on Monday, can they recapture enough of what worked to keep on keepin' on? People will make much of Warren and Foegele, but Teravainen and Aho did all the heavy lifting for his second goal. Dougie Hamilton has come around nicely since the early-season struggles, but what of Aho? Will Jordan Staal hit anything that sort of moves again? Will Justin Faulk not revert back to the mess he was early in the series? And will someone stay between Ovechkin's bomb from the top of the left circle (or will the Whalercanes simply have enough sense to stay out of the box)?

Lots of questions. Answers to follow soon on the ice.

Appropriate that Tampa Bay is wearing white. Same color as the flag they’re waving.

Not dead yet. Bolts just scored and Vasilevskiy just made a crazy save. 3-2.

When the Red Wings set the NHL record for regular season victories, they at least made it to the Western Conference final.

What a weird night. I thought the Isles would win the series and the Jackets would give the Bolts a lot of trouble, but I never saw two sweeps.
