    Mitch McConnell is getting sick of Donald Trump's bad nominees

    What McConnell knows -- and he is trying to make sure Trump understands -- is that every time the President makes one of these random picks for an important post and said person goes down in flames, it hurts the Senate, the President and the broader party. Picking friends and people who have said nice things about you isn't any way to fulfill key roles in a government.

    Reminder that even with sophisticated voter laws designed to suppress turnout in places where they expect strong Democratic turnout, the GOP has actually won the majority or plurality in the presidential election exactly once in the last three decades. They are a minority party that gets to rule because of white supremacy.
