Of course getting clicks means something. It means a lot, actually. It’s part of why Donald Trump won.

Why is it suggesting AOC is well-known creates some sort of hole in common sense?

In a tight blue T-shirt. And looked good doing it.

When Fuckboy was in his 20s, he was doing his dances in the basement bathroom stalls of Studio 54 under the tutelage of Roy Cohn and Liberace.

The point was that there are a lot of people talking about these issues. When she talks about them, she gets clicks. People have been talking about the environment, wealth inequality and the like for decades - and the news media has prioritized scandal and verbal jabs over policy in the way they present news. Not minimizing her, or the issues - just the reason why more attention is being paid to what she says. People are curious.

Because that's not what you've been doing. And I think you know that.

No one on this thread has been like, "AOC? Who's that?"

There’s evidence Truman didn’t even know the second bomb was going to be dropped.

Hmmm ... you'd think one of the biggest war crimes in history, the unauthorized murder of thousands of civilians, would be a bigger story.

Prior to Hiroshima, we used the most destructive weapons any country had at it disposal, used them a helluva lot more than twice, and took out many innocents in the process. It may sound silly, but by comparison, the use of two atomic bombs was much more efficient and far less destructive. Also, in the nearly three-quarters of a century since, nobody has used another one. Because they know what they do. Using them was awful, but it ended a war and probably prevented a lot of other things since then.
