Amazing to think this is the same Drew McIntyre who was once backup to Heath frickin' Slater.

I was thinking maybe a rematch with Cena after last year's squash, especially since they haven't really hinted at anything concrete for Cena either. But we're getting mighty close to the wire to try to build up any kind of actual feud.

Speaking of Cena if hes not wrestling Angle whats he gonna do? Theyre kinda running out of options for both dream matches and spots on the card.

Maybe he sticks his nose in the US title multi man?

I’m thinking some sort of shenanigans occurs which puts Cena against Angle. Cole even mentioned fan outrage.

They really messed up Braun’s momentum with that heel turn and Brock beating him rather handily.

Also, from what I’ve been seeing, it seems like they’re going to have at least 17 matches at WM. That is nuts.

    We have, figure:

Five men’s singles title matches (WWE, Universal, IC, US, and Cruiserweight).

    Two women’s singles title matches.

Three tag title matches (two men’s, one women’s)

    Andre BR

    Women’s BR

    Trips/Batista

    Shane/Miz

    Orton/Styles

    Roman/McIntyre

    Angle/Corbin (for now)

Did I miss anything? The crowd is going to be exhausted by the end.

Miz spitting venom to open Smackdown.

Makes me wonder -- who else has gone further in their career than he has? From the reality show guy who bungled the Diva Search to main eventing Wrestlemania and being a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

    Miz’s promo was fantastic.

As for your question, maybe Mick Foley? From an unathletic jobber in his second WWF match who spent a good part of his early years in the business sleeping in his car to being told by multiple people that he had no future in the business to winning the WWF title and being one of the catalysts to WWF winning the Monday Night Wars to being a multiple best-selling author to doing a ton of charity work and being a WWE Hall of Famer.

Well that was an interesting swerve. We're getting the scrappy underdog who defied all the odds suddenly becoming the big bully and stacking the deck against the scrappy underdog trying to defy all the odds. With a huge vein of character hypocrisy running through it to boot (the hippie getting into bed with the CEO to maintain his grip on power). Lots of levels to this storyline.

Kofi gave another great performance. The E missed a big opportunity though. Would have liked to see some interference from some defiant babyfaces. Thought Miz might do something after his Kofi mention in the promo. A.J. or Rey could have interfered. Heck, they could have done a Charlotte/Becky brawl in the stands that went to ringside with officials all preoccupied with breaking them up and Kofi taking advantage.

But nope, that would require the E. to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Owens said he was going to "keep an eye" on the match, too. I was actually half-expecting him to come down and screw Kofi, like the masterful bad guy he is.

The plus side to a huge Mania card is theres finally a main event the crowds not going to crap all over, so its going to be a more forgiving bunch than say Dallas or last year.

The bad side is theyre still going to be exhausted and anything that mutes or changes the reaction of the first womens main event is playing with fire. Last thing they need is casual fans seeing the live crowd turn on it because theyre punch drunk. Seeing a live crowd go apeshit for Becky Lynch is what they need to hook the casuals.
