We are actually be governed by a minority of people right now. A President elected with fewer votes. A Senate majority created with fewer votes, approving judges appointed by Presidents elected with fewer votes. And a bloc of 40 Senators allow, if not encourage this travesty to persist.
The declaration of emergency should probably be Article I of the impeachment - Meuller or no Meuller.

Thoughts and prayers for one of Trumpists' greatest heroes. The GoFundMe campaign should be starting up any minute now.

Daring Trump to use the military on his long-dreamed brown roundup is not a good idea.

Using a phony declaration of emergency is *exactly* what the impeachment clause was designed to address.

"High crimes and misdemeanors" wasn't just a term meaning "really bad crimes and misdemeanors." It was a legal term of art in the 18th century to describe abuses of power from people in government office. It was meant to address corruption, illegal surpassing of authority, bad faith interpretations, etc.

Per Ingraham and Coulter pussy-whipping, POTUS can't handle women without a checkbook or abortionist.

I’m old enough to remember the GOP saying Executive Orders - not emergency declarations for false crises - were overreach.

That's the fascinating thing about this. "Fedruhl overreach" has been one of these assholes' favorite mantras. Now in order to get his wall, Trump will have to take land from people who presumably are among his biggest bigoted supporters.

The fundamental feature of conservatism in America in the 2010s is that they do not believe in good faith. They *know* they're being hypocrites. They believe that life is a cynical fight for dominance, and the ability to force people to go along with your lies is a sign of your power. Hypocrisy is not an accident, it is a feature.

Trump is the perfect leader for their worldview.

We'll see how many of the 36 GOP Senators voting for the spending bill tonight also vote for next week's resolution denying Trump his wall. I'll be getting the chips and bean dip ready.
