    He is bad at it, but I don't think Frum's onto much.

    I think Trump suffers so badly from ADD - which is exacerbated by our social media times and near round-the-clock coverage of Trump himself - that he simply doesn't have the focused capacity to think it out. And he has a hideous team around him.

    But he's always been a bad dealmaker. That's the joke. He's not just now suffering some new condition of incompetence.

    Whether or not Frum is on to something, the last two years of perfect futility must certainly come as a shock to some number of Trump voters - the ones who elected him because he's a "billionaire" who'll "run the country like a business."
