I thought they had made it official. They should. No way do I leave Louisville for Starkvegas; TCU guy might bite. But the guy they need is already there.

McDonnell just re-upped his contract so he's not going anywhere. TCU had a down year this year, but Schlossnagle has a good thing going there. Both of them turned down Mississippi State anyway.
Henderson and the AD John Cohen worked together before, and Henderson coached in the SEC before. If he wants it, the job oughta be his.

Beavers did the AD a favor. Hard to fire a coach when your team takes second or first. Obviously since it was announced less than 48 hours after elimination the deal with the IU coach was in the bag and then Henderson delayed the announcement by taking MSU as far as he did. Henderson wanted the job, he was advocating for it in the postgame presser on Saturday.

Sure seems like he got the shaft, then. That's rough. They have largely the same group coming back next season and it seemed like they'd have run through a wall for Henderson by the end of the year.

So I see there's another delay in Omaha. Will the Series finish before the Kickoff Classic?

The awkward part of the MSU hiring? The guy making the decision was the former baseball coach who brought Henderson to Starkville as an assistant.
