I get that it’s not likely you’d be around minor sports if you were covering a D1 football and basketball program. But in 15 years minimum, with Detroit newspapers and TV covering the school, not a single reporter got a whiff of a story and ran with it?

The people who should be answering questions is the gymnastics media. Aren't those niche sports real clubby with reporters and subjects all in it together?

Let's face it. People lionized Paterno (see what I did there?). Nobody much cared about Larry Nassar before his transgressions were uncovered.

That’s who broke the story. The Indy Star. Olympic sports is a major beat there.

Shame we don't have anyone on this board who is familiar with Michigan State and it's inner workings........................

The impending litigation between the insurer and university will be really fascinating. I’m sure the negligence by university personnel probably provided about 10 loopholes for the insurer to avoid paying a dime.

Resistance is futile. Do not defy the Borg.

    You will be assimilated.

Cool. I follow the path of least resistance, so this should be pretty easy.
