    1. Koepka has won consecutive US Opens so he will always be famous.
    2. The last guy to do it, Curtis Strange, was respected as a champion yet never regarded as near the best of his era. He wasn't either.
    3. Koepka's young and could certainly win more majors.
    4. Face it. He's a dull jock like DJ. He's gonna have to win much, much more to become even a golf star, let alone an all-around sports star.
It's not fair to him, but that's the story on the scoreboard.

DJ and Koepka are USDA Prime meatheads, but some of the best of all time haven't been Mensa members.

Was hoping for a little more drama over the last couple hours but was also happy the USGA didn't get rewarded at the end for an overall lousy Open.

Wasn't Strange considered the unquestioned No. 1 in the world for more than a couple seconds?

Edit: A quick Google check would suggest "No."

    Thankfully Phil made it memorable.

Rickie Fowler surely did not -- but then again, he never does; and yet, somehow, he made the cut for faces the USGA was promoting in its Pebble Beach 2019 ad.

Fowler's the most overrated dude to wear orange since Jalen Hurd.

That's because Tiger doesn't wear orange. Fowler is popular. Young kids especially love him. He's a face of the game, regardless off his resume. He's damn good, too. Just hasn't won a ton yet. The guess is that he will.

He's won the Players and Fed Ex playoff event. Those are full-field tourneys. Finished top-five in all four majors one year. Been top 10 in majors nine times in 32 tries. What exactly are people saying to over-rate him?

Is it wrong to think Koepka is going to have a Retief Goosen type of career?

If he quit now it would be a career that 98 percent of the guys on Tour would trade for in a heartbeat.

But it still remains to be seen if these gym-rat bodies can hold up for 20-year careers.

One Open maybe a fluke (still damn hard) but B2B Opens? One a bombers paradise but this was Shinnecock, that’s greatness, something very few willl ever do. No doubt in my mind. Not saying he’s Hall of Fame, but what an achievement. Congrats to him
