Running 2018 college rings postseason thread

Or as they're commonly known in our part of the forest, Kennedy Catholic Junior College? I miss the days when they only recruited across the state line into Ohio....

Gabe Devoe was really impressive the last couple months of the season. I'd like to see him wind up on an NBA team with Jordan Bell and Patrick Beverley.

 

It's going to make me sick if Duke wins this tournament. But also, it would be a very Duke thing.

 

Is there a year Duke wins and it doesn't make us sick?

 

In a tourney defined by underdogs winning - having a school full of overdogs cut the nets just seems more wrong than other times. To be fair, they'll have to get by Kansas....

 

Once again and forever: Fuck Syracuse. Terrible basketball and didn’t deserve to be in the tournament. That they manage to sneak in every year because Carmelo Anthony was good and drag teams down to their level for a game or three is one of the great mysteries of our time.

 

They won two games ...

 

On aesthetic grounds, I am very glad Syracuse is out. Otherwise, they're just another mega-program. I don't make distinctions between those. Duke and Kansas will both play ball. As to who wins, I am indifferent, but it should be worth watching.

 

And lost 13 in the regular season. 9-11 in the ACC. That’s an NIT team, and a couple of fluky games doesn’t change that.

And I realize I root for another slow-down, defense first team. My defense of my statement:

- I have a visceral reaction to that zone
- Cuse’s offense is nearly as slow as UVA’s, but without the passing
