With Davis it was $150,000 that they totally didn’t pay him.

I think the NCAA knows it is in a real shitstorm now.
You're almost getting to the point where you have to start either paying the players, or say "to hell with the 1 and done rule. If you're ready out of high school, then just go. But if you come to school, you're staying a minimum of 2 years."

I don't get this post - at all.

I swear I see Kentucky on national TV more than any team except Golden State. I don't look for them at all, but I find them twice a week - before PGA golf on CBS; always when I turn on ESPN.

For a team that is on national TV 20-30 times a year, why in the FUCK wouldn't you think they have a player worth a hundred grand?

And you can substitute 10 other teams for Kentucky.

Just from a basketball standpoint. 1 player. $100,000.
You're going to pay one player that you know you're going to lose after one year. $100,000.
Let's say 4 games in, he blows a knee. $100,000.
You're (insert team name here). You're going to be on ESPN and the family of networks 741 times. What more does $100,000 wrapped up into 1 player bring you than another player who doesn't require any money bring you? Is one player going to win you a national championship? No.
Is $100,000 going to win you a national championship? No.

One player wins a national championship all the time.

    Are you taking stupid pills?
100,000 is nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero. A fucking bargain.

NBA is the one who doesn't allow kids to go straight from high school into their league. NCAA can't order anyone to stay.

You realize the NCAA only has control over one of those options, right?

I'm pretty sure the NCAA already wants the one and done rule gone. But only the NBA can make that happen.
