Continuing with tonight's theme, I'm sure YF will come up with a different number for Trump. Or blame Hillary.

So this asshole is trying to say that not wanted to be shot is an entitled, immature thing?

In the past, when power in DC was split, the GOP (and Dems) could avoid a deal by just saying the other side wouldn't agree. What was proposed was too strict/not strict enough. Now with the GOP in control, they own it. And they can only imagine the ads that will be run against them this fall.

It’s a lot of words dedicated to repeating a common talking point right now: This is too hard for you kids to understand!

That said, I wouldn’t get too triggered by criticism of them. They are choosing to enter this bruising fray. The guy you posted trots out a lot of shopworn talking points and he’s blunt, but none of it seems particularly beyond the pale or unnecessarily personal. Their policy prescriptions are not inoculated from criticism.

This is breathtaking in its stupidity. Start with equating getting killed in a war to getting slain in a classroom or in front of a locker.

I thinks it’s unfair to say that they are choosing to enter the bruising fray. They are literal victims of horrific violence. They are also teenagers who can muster a significantly intelligent argument. While their ability to put events into a larger context and perspective is lacking they are not looking across the ocean and seeing some starving kids and over reacting. Some guy actually tried to murder them, their friends, classmates and teacher a few days ago. The right wing, conservatives and republicans are all taking their lead from trump. The right is so incredibly immature that they attack parents whose children were killed either by domestic violence or when their children were US Military personnel. They just can’t stop themselves from attacking people who rational people would just let vent.
