How the %&%& is Radiohead not a Rock & Roll HOFer but Bon Jovi is?

Second album, "Candy-O," was damn good, too.
Title song (and cover art) were fantastic.

Fourth album, "Shake It Up," had my favorite Cars tune:

Back to NC's main point, though: Little Feat was a hell of a band.
Not just any band can make a hit out of a song called "Fat Man in the Bathtub."

The Cars had a short body of work. They were very good, but were they Koufax?

Perhaps the coolest concert moment of my life was standing next to the right-hand stage speaker as the Cars were about to come onstage. There were those temporary ladders for the band to climb onto the stage. Ocasek stopped halfway up the ladder to take a full minute to finish his joint on the steps, smiling at us all the time. And then flicked the roach into our group three seconds before he kicked into "My Best Friend's Girl."

Hall of Fame? Who the fuck knows. But Hole was strong and not just for a song or two.

This is straight fucking rock and roll.

This song is a nice glass of smoky scotch, neat.

Just a terrific band, as noted above, impossible to pinhole because they had so many different things going on. even the Feat records after Lowell George passed were pretty good.

"And then one night in the lobby of the Commodore Hotel, I chanced to meet a bartender who said he knew her well" - man, i love that lyric.

We wore out a cassette of Candy-O the summer after it came out, "Let's Go" still sounds great....

At some point the discussion will turn to Fiona Apple, who is 100% first ballot entry.
