RIP Chris D'Amico

    Former SE in Newark among other places. Did not know him well. Leaned on him for some advice when I first became an SE. Know many have worked for him and all rave.

    Trying to find an obit/link now. Many many posts on FB and Twitter remembering him fondly

    Chris was a good man. We worked in the same organization for a spell. Read the thread above. It says a lot about Chris, and even more about the business.

    An interesting note in that obit:

    The family is establishing a scholarship in Chris's memory. The Christopher P. D'Amico Memorial Journalism Scholarship will benefit future generations of journalists. Details will be posted at chrispdamico.blogspot.com. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to this fund.

    Awful news. Did not know him well. I interviewed with him once, but ended up taking a different job. He couldn't have been nicer.

    His excellent reputation was spot on.

    A pro. And fuck cancer.
