Started very slow, but the first scene with arya seemed to change the tone. Everything was fantastic after that.

Euron bringing back Yara and the two from Dorne should get him into Cercei's good graces.

Very good show, and that naval battle cost a bundle and a lot of time. You seldom see that sort of scene shot, because the water makes everything slower, more difficult, and more expensive. HBO got great bang for the buck, and the CGI added in was very tastefully done.

Ellaria Sand killed Cersei's daughter, and now she's being taken back to King's Landing with her own daughter.

    End well, this will not.

I don't see how he could have heard that they would be with Yara in time to intercept, but we're not supposed to pick at things like that too hard.

It would be a huge gift in Cercei's eyes, certainly.

He could have been marauding near Dorne knowing they had to eventually bring Allayria back. His crew knew who they were pulling out and that she needed to still be alive.

I don't know. It's how I made sense of it at the time. Your milage may vary.

So does Gendry row by just in time to save Theon?

It's the only show where I watch live, read the recaps the next morning to figure out what just happened and then watch again at some point early in the week.

So with all these ravens cross-crossing, how do Jon and Sansa not know that Bran has reached Castle Black?

From the NY Times review this morning. Very succinct.

" Theories abounded last week about Euron’s promised gift for Cersei. It appears as if it’s Ellaria Sand, Myrcella’s murderer, and her own daughter, Tyene. Whatever faults he has — and he appears to have all of them — Euron does seem to know just what to get a vindictive queen with a daughter-size hole in whatever remains of her heart."

Maybe in the next life, the Sand Snakes go to a place where they give acting lessons.
