Worked from home today and watched much of France-England. My goodness, does France have some young talent up front. Dembele really impressed me.

Will Dick Whitman get a soccer scarf, sport a fake English accent, and use Euro soccer lingo?

The International Football Association Board, which decides the rules of soccer (not FIFA), looking to ditch the running clock. Proposal to have 30-minute halves with the clock stopped when ball is out of play or play is stopped due to injuries:

Football reforms: Scrapping 45-minute half to be debated at Ifab

The pbp man for Portugal-Mexico just told viewers to take out their phones and take a photo of Ronaldo's FK (which he fired into the wall).

Then Portugal had a goal erased on video review thanks to several players being offside.

Video review? They do that for things other than did the ball go over the line?

Lol. Way to throw out English football terminology. Remember, it's still MLS.

No goals have been scored, but the Germany-Cameroon game is fun to watch. Cameroon has to be aggressive, but Germany isn't holding back, either.

That VAR on the red card was all kinds of awful.

Germany vs. Mexico on Thursday looks like must-see TV. Wouldn't mind seeing the Deutsch run it up on El Tri like they did against Brazil in the World Cup.

Unfortunately, Die Mannschaft is fielding something of a B team. That said, history has proven Chile could do the job just fine. Then again, I'm holding out for a Mexico-Portugal final to, you know, prove once and for all the greatest nation in the world.
