    Lobster is not that good.

Shrimp and crawfish taste much, much better.

I aspire to becoming a crustacearian - a diet of only shell fish.

On average, American society has the proper level of gratitude and veneration for the military and the shaming lectures around Memorial Day aren't necessary. Yes we know the reason for the day isn't cooking out or beach trips. Your guilt trip Facebook post fishing for compulsory patriotism is unnecessary.

For someone who never grew up around lacrosse, never attended any school that offered it, I'm sure becoming enamored with college lacrosse.

Memorial Day has been hijacked into a day of honoring all veterans. That's not what it's for. That's what Veterans Day is for. Memorial Day is for honoring those who died in the service of our country. You do that at a service or at the cemetery, not by having those who served stand up at a baseball game for what has become an obligatory round of applause. Memorial Day isn't for them.

A friend pointed out on Facebook today that a lot of war vets (and I'm sure active duty service members) are actually uncomfortable being singled out today because they remember comrades who didn't make it back and may even feel guilt over that.
