    I agree. Why this half measure? We're OK with ties, just that not many ties? Nonsensical.

    Jets cut David Harris and are about to do the same with Eric Decker. Sounds like Bowles wasn't on board with at least the Harris decision.

    Jets could be in 1-15, 2-14 country this year. Less talent left on the roster now than even the Browns. Bowles might as well try and get fired now on a principle. He's gone at the end of the year anyway.

    Harris is a real pro but he was 2 steps off the pace at this point.

    Linebacker is one position where I'll take the slower veteran of skill over the athletic rookie just about every time.

    In today's game? When teams have become adept at playing the matchups? Slow linebackers are death to a defense when you have speedy, shifty backs and stud receivers making their living much closer to the line of scrimmage than ever before.
