I feel like this is the mid 80s for the Mets, except they didn't win the title and this time the drugs are the medical staff

Maybe these Mets should use recreational drugs as PEDs.

Why not? It worked for Keith, Darryl and Doc.

Have you seen Doc Gooden lately? I'm not sure it worked for him.

Buck Showalter raises his managerial RAW by arguing a B.S. balk call and getting thrown out. This inspired his team to an extra-inning victory.

    Rendon: 6 for 6, 3 homers, 10 RBIs.

    That's just today.

It is amazing that a team's medical staff can consistently fuck up for such a long time.

God. Padres -- down 2-0 in top-9 against Melancon, who had just struck a guy out with one of the nastiest floppiest floopiest curves I've seen in awhile -- trot out a pinch hitter with an .071 OPS ...

... and the guy hits a 2-run homer.

    Poor Melancon.

Buck has managed over 2700 games, won over. 1400 (.522) games in 18 plus seasons. It's not that his playoff % of .391 is weak, it's that he's only managed 23 playoff games. And won one playoff series. If you have rated him a barely above average manger, you have him rated appropriately.

Freddie Prinze Jr. looks like a ballplayer.
