Nice 11-run seventh inning for the Nats. Bryce Harper's grand slam punctuates it. Eric Thames is getting the headlines with 11 homers, but Harper has him beat in everything else. He's putting up Bondsian numbers. And the Rockies have scored double digits in Colorado three straight games.

And Matt Carpenter's walk-off granny gets the woeful Cardinals within a game of .500.

Uh ... four-game series. Afternoon finale tied 1-1 in the seventh.

Yeah I just realized that in about the fifth inning, as did the Giants' hitters.

Sale vs. tanaka has a Pedro vs. mussina feel to it.

And the Giants cough up four in the 10th and score a whopping 8 runs in four games where half of them came in one game. Man this team is not good here at the start.

Until yesterday, this carried a different meaning in TSP's residence.

d'Arnaud just ended an 0 for 16 slump by doing something really bad to the ball, off Scherzer.

    Dear Dick Whitman,

Jake's not going 5 tonight. He might not even go 2.

    Best,
