Did you see where I said "negligent", as opposed to criminal, in the case of Benghazi?

No worries. Jared Kushner is going to solve the whole Arab-Israeli problem. It won't matter that our ambassador isn't competent. He's also going to fix the nation's problem with opiates, and in his spare time run an innovation in government committee.

He's got plenty of time to do all that while his wife is bouncing naked on daddy's lap.

The idea that Iger will run for President has been widely discussed in mainstream outlets:

Will Disney's Bob Iger Run for President in 2020? Hollywood Friends Are Nudging

ESPN has been more political of late, according to many (I rarely watch, so no real first hand observations here), to the degree that their ombudsman dealt with the charge, as mentioned in the article.

Inside and out, ESPN dealing with changing political dynamics

    The new political battlefield: ESPN

Are these two things related? It wouldn't be unusual for the political leanings of the leader of an organization to filter down through the entire organization.

"Merkel is not one to fuss. But Trump’s behavior appalled her entourage and reinforced a conclusion already reached about this presidency in several European capitals: It is possible to do business with Trump’s national security adviser, Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, with Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, and with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, but these officials are flying blind because above them at the White House rages a whirlwind of incompetence and ignorance."

That thing is devoid of evidence and logic. How would alienating "75 percent of the market " help Iger's political aspirations? If he were going to use ESPN to boost his national appeal, wouldn't he move it to the right/middle and away from the polarizing left? Classic case of clickbait. To his credit, he got me to read it. Guy is a shrewd marketer. Built an SEC fan base and plays to it expertly.

Gee I wonder who said this at women's empowerment event: "Have you heard of Susan B. Anthony?

You read it because it was posted here. That's not like it reached out of the Internet and grabbed you. As we are seeing in all walks of life, the difference being a shrewd marketer who reels in the dopes and being a dope yourself who just says what the other dopes think is an increasingly blurry line.

So now we have Senators talking about their investigation. With something of this magnitude, why were/are there two panels anyway? Why not a joint House-Senate inquiry from the start? This isn't going to produce legislation. So why have two probes?
