    I'm trying to figure out what twatwaffle cropped that photo. It could have easily been cut in half.

    In our state, depending on which state judges, this could still win sports page design by the Press Association. I once saw the "winning" sports front with two huge pictures from rodeo, along with a 4-inch story. The judges? Yep, West Virginia.

    Was the picture really that low quality or is it just the screen grab? Ye gods.

    It would have been an easy fix too. Run a 5-column, 1-deck hed up top, turn that mess into a subhed (and tighten) and trim some of the useless dark space off the bottom of the art.
