Y'all heard about this? It popped up in my Facebook feed last Wednesday or so. You can go basically anywhere on the Cracker Barrel web site and random people are all over the comments.

Most of the posters didn't know her name or what store she was fired from, but that didn't stop the howler monkeys from flinging poo.

This is pretty much a textbook case in how not to handle a problem on social media. There are literally thousands of posts on Facebook, a Change.org petition, bad reviews on yelp, and the company web site is a running sore. Now it's a headline in the WaPo.

Why did Cracker Barrel fire Brad’s wife? The Internet demands answers.

I hadn't seen this. But the edited Wikipedia page cracked me up: "Number of employees: 70,000 minus Brad's wife"

Won't it be funny when it comes out that Brad's wife was canned for fooling around with the store manager and she didn't want her husband to know, so she told him they fired her for no reason -- then he turned it into a nationwide Internet cause.

Yeah, if it winds up that she was caught doing something flagrant and was embarrassed to tell her husband, it's going to be ugly eventually.

I'm surprised no internet sleuths have yet produced a pic of Brad's wife.

It would be fitting and funny.
It's not really a nationwide Internet cause. It's a nationwide Internet running joke.
And one of the Internet's best.

    Well done, Internet! Bravo!

If ever a movement called for pics or GTFO ...

Eh. No one ever struck it rich producing a Women of Cracker Barrel calendar.
