If a big health care failure was a killer, Bill Clinton would've been a one-term President. All administrations have early failures, and it's not always a bad thing for them. The skepticism JFK developed about advice from his military/national security team after the Bay of Pigs stood him in good stead during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The thing here isn't that Trumpcare failed (although that's a very good thing), it's how. And the biggest how after it being a bill people hated is that the President really didn't have the slightest interest in it. Unless that changes, he will continue to fail.

Quote from paywalled WSJ article from an unnamed Republican strategist: "Paul Ryan is probably safe as Speaker because nobody particularly wants to be Henry VIII's next wife."

It won't change. He has no interest in anything but self aggrandizement.

    Not policy.

    Not consensus building.

    Not leadership.

    Not reality.

Not the good of the country.

    Self aggrandizement. That's it.
